Niagara Falls straddles the US and Canadian borders – a mile wide and 20 storeys high.Rainbows arch through the mist created by the thundering body of water at North America’s oldest tourist attraction. We recommend a ‘Maid of the Mist’ boat tour right up to the foot of the falls.

Toronto is a melting pot of cultures including six China Towns, a Little India and a Little Italy. Fantastic shopping and excellent theatre productions sit side-by-side with fascinating museums and art galleries. The distinctive CN Tower provides sweeping views of the city on a clear day. A three hour drive from Toronto lies the Georgian Bay area and the Muskokas where you will fi nd over 1,500 lakes to explore and pretty towns and a recreational playground.

Canada’s capital, Ottawa, is a blend of French and English with grand buildings including Parliament Hill and the National Gallery of Canada. Sitting on the confluence of the Gatineau, Ottawa and Rideau Rivers it also offers fi ne dining and fascinating museums.

On Lake Ontario is the historical village of Kingston with its limestone mansions. It is linked by the Rideau Canal which provides boating excursions through the Thousand Islands in the St Lawrence River.

Travel to Canada’s Stratford and the prestigious Shakespeare Festival held from May to October and see the nearby quaint towns of St Jacobs and Elmira.
